My name is Sue Moore and I am the designer and creator of all that you see on this site. I made my first pair of mukluks by hand for my son in 1983 and have not stopped since! I always keep trying new designs and most items are one of a kind. My husband, Dan, is now helping out full time in the shop and we travel the state of Alaska year round selling our wares at local art and craft shows.
We only sell what we make and have a good inventory on hand to sell. I also do custom orders and will work with your fur as well. We love what we do and hope that you enjoy it also.
We guarantee all our work and are "Made in Alaska" certified.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or custom order requests.
Hello Summer! It’s been a cool one so far but we have what you need to keep you warm and cozy! I have almost caught up on custom orders and am sewing away on fun and creative stuff.
Our summer schedule is mostly stay home! We will be attending the Kenai River Festival in Soldotna at the park. then the Moose Pass Solstice festival, June 17 and 18th. Always a great little festival.
I made 2 black bear skirts, one with single front and back pieces, the other is pieced out of the leftovers and some leather. Both have a yoga type waistband. Very fun and i will make some more. I also fashioned up a fox shawl while I was making parka ruffs, and many custom boots!
We have also been working on piecing together leftover fur pieces. Sheared beaver, regular beaver, otter and sheepskin. Lots of pillows and we have requests for more lap/couch blankets. Also made many mid size satchels out of beaver and a few out of wolf. We like to get stocked up for the big fair in August. We always have slippers on hand as well as many other items.
Come on out to the
Clam Gulch showroom
and work shop.
We have a full inventory
or items.
We are open most days 10-5 and recommend calling first, but is not necessary.
We do have visitors coming for the first part of the summer and plan on many fun adventures.
